About Timea
Timea is an online counsellor in the UK specialising in working with trauma. She reached out to me when she decided that she would like to quit her job as an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) counsellor and start her private practice.
The Goal for The Project
The main goal was to have so many new bookings that Timea can make the jump from being employed to being self-employed. For this, she needed a website that resonates with her clients and reflects her approachable personality in a friendly but professional way.

Strategy
After our kick-off meeting, we talked about her clients, discussed her ideas about the website, what her clients would like to see and what features we will need. Her ideal clients are mainly women in their 20s and 30s, she wanted the website to be “Warm”, “Simple”, “Not too tight”. She said, “It’s important that the clients feel that they can share everything in a non-judgemental space.”

The features that Timea wanted to have on the website include a blog that is easy to use and maintain, a form where her clients can request appointments and ask questions  (she didn’t want to have an online booking system) and an opt-in offer.

The opt-in offer is a video that is free to download for her potential clients and when they download it they have the option to opt-in for her newsletter.

Setting The Direction
Apr 2014 - Mar 2015
Timea sent me some websites that she liked and thought I could use them as inspiration for her website. Based on our previous meetings and the websites she sent me, I made a mood board to set the art direction for her website.

She loved the mood board so I created a stylescape, a more detailed document about the colours, fonts, and type of imagery I was planning to use.

Fonts used on the website. Gabriela Alt and Clarika Geometric.Timea's colour palette. Seashell, Xiketic, Old Lavender, White and Dark Salmon.
Wireframes, design & development
Apr 2014 - Mar 2015
After she approved the stylescape I went ahead and created the wireframes for the website. During our kick-off meeting, she said besides the landing and blog pages she will need an about page where people can read about her life, career, education and a counselling page where people can find out more about her services.

After tweaking the wireframes and deciding on the content for each section I designed the pages based on the art direction we set earlier. Following the design, I developed the website using Webflow. Webflow’s user-friendly CMS (content management system) makes it easy for Timea to upload and maintain her blog posts.
